WalletHub compared affordability (40% of the score – includes cost of living, general tax friendliness, taxes on pensions, annual cost of home care services and adult day care), health care (30% – includes on health care facilities, emotional health, life expectancy, and quality of physicians, nurses and dentists) and quality of life (30% – based on population of people over 65, access to public transportation, crime rates, weather, and volunteer opportunities).
